Welcome to my site/blog "Using The Machine", this blog is somewhat different than most created by IT Professionals in that it is not focused on what I do in my day job. The blog is about how to leverage the Internet in Business and mainly targeted at individuals owning or working in small and medium businesses. If your wondering why I decided to focus the blog on that area it is because I truly believe the Internet is changing all aspects of business and the small to medium sized business is in the best position to take advantage of these changes.

In my day job, I am all about Cloud Services, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Management of Technology and Strategy for a large global corporation. I have had the privilege of having a very broad range of experiences in IT, from Server Administration and Desktop Support to more recently Software Development, Architecture and IT Management. If I had to sum up my expertise, I would simply say that I am a leader who truly understands both Information Technology and Business and more importantly how to leverage technology for business success.
